Hiiii! We are alive! Needless to say, a lot has happened since we last spoke. So strap yourselves in because this is going to be a LONG one. Let's recap July, August, and September.

July

Anthrocon + GenCon Coffee Cameos

Pennyslvania + Indiana

Chuffins, Thimbles, Nippers, and Rune make camp for the evening.

Whilst we were not at these conventions in person, we DID have our coffee present!

Anthrocon featured Death Roast (Part Time Dragons), Cosmic Fog (Xenocat Artifacts), and Caramel White Mocha (Corgi Beans). We also did our first Coffee Rally - where attendees who picked up coffee from all 3 of our partners were able to receive some gift cards! Read more about the coffees and our partners on the event page here.

GenCon featured our newest collaboration with Pawstar - where we created 3 new coffees for their mascots! This was the first run of the new collab, with more merch coming soon ^_^

Anthro Weekend Utah

Layton, Utah

We found a bard! And did coffee for a metal band!

Hands down, Anthro Weekend Utah was the most fun that we have had this year. In the months following the event, we have done nothing but sing it's praises. From the lightning fast registration, the excellent location, the friendly staff (con, volunteers, hotel, and convention center), to the amazing attendees - this convention is truly a gold standard for fur cons. Everyone greeted us with nothing but kindness, and the team went above and beyond to create a truly fun atmosphere.

Plus, we crafted a custom coffee for the metal band Orbital Destroyer, who put on a concert at the Saturday night LalapAWUza! It has been years since I head banged that hard, my neck was so sore the next day.

Thank you Gigafox and Jojo for the invite! Needless to say, we are chomping at the bit to return next year!

August

DenFur 2026

Denver, Colorado

The Quest for the Cosmic Bean!

DenFur was a wild ride for us. Some incredible highs, and some unfortunate lows. Lets start with the good.

This was the first event that we unveiled our new line of teas. (Yes, you heard me.) We had no idea what to expect - and they sold out in 3 hours. Wow. We had to update our booth for day 2 and bring in more coffee to fill the shelf!

We also had a Coffee Quest! We had multiple vendors we make coffee for in the den (Part Time Dragons, Ambush Toys, Xenocat Artifacts). Pick up their coffees, return to me, and you would win a foil magical item card of THE COSMIC BEAN (featured in our Grand Brewl adventure). Our partners sold out of their coffee stocks before the weekend was out!!

There's more! We filmed a gameshow at our roastery, Taskmastfur. Based on the British show Taskmaster, contestants must complete a series of tasks within a time limit and score points. The footage was unveiled, and the final task was performed on the main stage at DenFur. Congratulations to Cyber Mark for winning the gold!

Now the bad: we had someone impersonating us and claiming false affiliation with Dragon Roast at this event. Staff and attendees came to us confused, some even arguing with us that we were this other local coffee roaster. This mimic was also not an official vendor at DenFur. They snuck their way into the artist alley after setup and spread false information the entire convention. We brought this to the attention of the con staff and will be taking measure to ensure it does not happen again next year.

Beware of these Mimics! Dragon beans are sacred, and many wish to harness their power.

Regardless, thank you to all of our amazing fans for voicing your concerns at our absence last year, and showing up again this year to show your support. Big thanks as well to Tundra and Foxene for all of their hard work to organize they do. We will return again, and with more teas!

September

Nan Desu Kan

Aurora, Colorado

A relaxing weekend with friends.

NDK is always going to be that comforting cozy con for me. It's like coming home to family - literally for me since my cousin, and one of our artists, RollArcana was also vending that weekend. Big thank you to the staff for making this con consistently the least amount of stress for me during the year. We were not able to restock on our tea in time for this convention, but we did get a full 20 foot spot this year! We look forward to returning again!

Furry Migration 2026

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Our official coffee cat: Peri!

Now this con is Rune's favorite of the year - and this time Dragon Roast Coffee was an official sponsor for the convention! This convention offers a Con Suite, with fresh food prepared all day for EVERY attendee - and we here at Dragon Roast provided coffee for the con suite! So every attendee had access to a variety of our brews!  I had to ship out some extra coffee for the event to make this happen. Big thanks to the con staff for figuring out a way for us to save the attendees from terrible hotel coffee!

Also, shout out to our weekend con cat Peri for helping out Rune over the weekend!

Flame Fatales 2026

Online Event

FF Mascot Faith leaping into action!

Flame Fatales was back and better than ever! Thank you everyone who made your donations to the Malala Fund over the course of the event. Some excellent skills were on display from the speed running team, as well as some epic prize giveaways! This event also resulted in our largest amount donated yet to charity: $1,205! Thank you for purchasing our coffee bundle and supporting this noble cause!

SS4C x LHS Event

Online Event

The next week was followed up by another video game speed running event! This time showing support for Hispanic Heritage with the Latin Hispanic Speedrunners. We created a custom coffee and glass can for this small stream team, and I did an interview with them where I got to talk about our coffee origins!

Kickstarter Updates

The Adventure Continues...

As of this writing, we are now 57% complete with order fulfillment! We officially crossed the halfway point! (yay!). I was really hoping to finish before October hit, but we are on our way. I am now writing weekly updates every Friday for Kickstarter backers until we complete our order queue. You can read those on our updates page.

Also our PLUSHIES and physical copies of THE GRAND BREWL are here! They are currently available to pickup at our store, and will be going live on our website once we finish shipping out kickstarter orders!

Next Up

Phew, that's the majority of it! For October we have a lot lined up.

We have Wyoming Pop Culture Con, Heartland Howloween, Gamehole Con, Mile High Con, and Fastest Furs Fall Fest this month. Ethan/Rune is running this weekends convention in Wyoming solo so I can get more orders out before Heartland Howloween next week (we are the guests of honor there!).

Till next time, adventurers!
