April 2025 Overview

I feel like every time I sit down to write one of these monthly overview posts I think "how has another month already disappeared?". Well here we are again, now in May and looking back on the crazy month that was April. Lets go over some of what went on last month!

New Product Packaging

The biggest update that came in April was our NEW product packaging! This was something that we worked on for so many months and something I am super happy with! We wrote a detailed post about it that you can check out here, but the new packaging features full art bags as well as gorgeous larger art of our classes and more information about each coffee. These bags have been something that I have wanted to become reality for so long and it feels incredible having them finished! We also shot a fun commercial to launch them, if you haven't yet you can see it here.

Three Different Events

If it seems like we are always going to events all the time, it's because we are! This month we were in Arizona, Wyoming and Colorado for 3 different events. I haven't gotten around to writing news posts on all of them yet but each event was so great! Game On Expo in Phoenix was really fantastic and we had an absolutely amazing time, that new post is up so you can check it out here! I am also happy to report that every event went smoothly with no wild issues or injuries hahaha. I really am so thankful for everyone that comes to see us at every convention and looking forward to many many many more!

Some ACTUAL Cafe Updates

If you have been following along our journey into trying to open up a brick and mortar location then you know its been a wild ride already. Right now banks are extra wary about lending to coffee companies since there is so much uncertainty around international trade and everything going on with tariffs. Our current plan is that hopefully when we launch our Kickstarter, that will allow us enough capital to be able to get into a spot that will be perfect for a base of operations for all things Dragon Roast Coffee.

In the meantime though we might have a clever solution until that ends up coming to pass. We have been in talks with a couple different places here in Denver to potentially lease a portion of their warehouse space for us to operate out of. As it sits right now were are essentially completely out of space where we are currently working and its made being able to expand and develop new products super difficult. Something like this would allow us to have a location to operate out of and be a place where people can come see us and hang out until we have a place that is FULLY our own!

Onward To May

May is....like every month...going to be super busy. We have a couple of events but also are trying to plan out some really complicated logistics for everything coming up at the end of the year. We also are deep in the development stages of our Kickstarter campaign so be on the lookout for that. Hopefully things go smoothly and we can share with you some wins next month!
